Krissy Rugg, Dr. Ac, IBCLC, RN

Krissy is a Doctor of Acupuncture, Lactation Consultant (IBCLC - International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), and Registered Nurse who has a passion for women’s health. She started her career working as a Registered Nurse on a labour and delivery unit and supported women during their births for over a decade. Her own health challenges led her to try acupuncture and she was immediately fascinated by this ancient medicine and the results it can yield. She returned to school and completed a diploma in Acupuncture at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and TCM.

Krissy combines western knowledge and eastern healing modalities to support clients through their fertility, pregnancy, and chest/breastfeeding journey in a safe and non-judgmental space.  After the birth of her own two sons, she recognized the importance of the fourth trimester and loves supporting women and families as they navigate this huge life transition into parenthood.  Her main areas of interest are in helping with postpartum concerns such as low milk supply, mastitis, postpartum pain, c-section scar mobilization and perinatal mental health concerns (postpartum depression/anxiety.)

Outside of work, Krissy enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 young boys, and dog Larry. She loves to travel and is often planning their next family adventure!
